Why Troop 448 Loves Lakewood
We π«Ά our community! BSA Troop 448 reached out to share their story of an incredible "Day in Lakewood" working on their Citizenship in the Community Merit Badge. From meeting City of Lakewood and Jefferson County leaders to exploring Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park, riding RTD, meeting Lakewood PD's Community Action Team, and more, these scouts dove into everything that makes our city such a special place to live! π
When asked why they love Lakewood, here's what the scouts and adults had to say:

π« "My friends are here!"
π΄ββοΈ "Bikeable spaces."
π€ "Inclusiveness!"
β°οΈ "Green Mountain is beautiful."

These scouts have also enjoyed many opportunities to volunteer for the city of Lakewood. Some of their favorite volunteer projects included helping with Earth Day activities, building a bridge as part of an eagle project, noxious weed removal at Bear Creek Lake Park and National Public Lands Day.
