Project description
Because of parking-related complaints that have occurred in Lakewood, the City Council has commissioned a citywide parking study to better understand the range of concerns, underlying dynamics, and potential solutions. The study will have several phases - see the timeline to the right - that include asking for your feedback on parking challenges you may experience and thoughts on proposed strategies.

Last fall, the project team conducted a parking survey to learn more about parking concerns in the city. The survey was open November 15 – December 15 and included questions asking if residents have trouble parking near their homes and destinations, and if so, how far away they typically have to park. Participants could also place comments on a map of the city about the parking issues they experience.

The feedback from the Fall 2022 Parking Survey and the current Spring 2023 Parking Survey will be incorporated into the final report and recommendations that will be released this summer.
