Help us shape the next Comprehensive Plan!

Thank you to those who participated in defining Lakewood's Vision and Values. In the fall, we will be transitioning to Plan Development and will have several engagement opportunities to participate in-person or virtually.

Engage in multiple ways:

  1. Visit our booth at Cider Days on Oct. 5 and 6! Staff will have a booth on both days of the event. Stop by and learn more about the process, get updates on the plan progress, and participate in fun activities! Prizes will be provided. Please note that tickets must be purchased for the event and more information is available online.
  2. Come to a Community Open House on Oct. 10 (English) or Oct. 11 (Spanish)! This fall we will be hosting two community open houses, one in English and one in Spanish. These events will be a good opportunity to learn about the progress staff and the Advisory Group members have been up to this summer in shaping key Comprehensive Plan elements. All ages are welcome! Food, prize giveaways, and kids’ activities included!
  3. Stay tuned for more! The project team is working behind the scenes to include online engagement activities for people do virtually if you can’t make any of the upcoming events.

... is to get on any road leading out of this pathetic excuse for a city.

    Peak View Park

Peak View Park is a new crown jewell park in Lakewood featuring solitude, beautiful vistas, and natural vegetation that gets away from the noise and congestion characteristic of Wadsworth Blvd. Every visit to Peak View Park is a close and healing opportunity to immerse ourselves in nature and allowing a calming peace to wash over us. It is our prairie fix.

    My favorite place

Belmar Park is my favorite place to walk and enjoy nature in Lakewood and even if I'm reading in Belmar Library, I can still enjoy the view.
